| Jeffrey Pettingill explains that even though we know there are a lot of biocontrol insects in here, we can still effectively "use all the tools in our toolbox." By spraying these weeds now it will not only kill the rest of this plant but it will also get rid of the rosette stage plants that are in here. An integrated approach will not only let the insects do their jobs, but by waiting on the timing to this stage, those insects will be around for next years growth. This year we can spray these Musk Thistle in order to kill the rest of the plants the insects are not working on and effectively, hopefully, clean up this stand next year in one application.
