Spotted Knapweed Rosette Video

Bryan Dallolio and Roger Batt are looking at Spotted Knapweed rosettes growing along the Boise River. Roger states that Spotted Knapweed is one of 36 noxious weeds that now threaten Idaho's lands, economy and ecology. Roger breaks off a dead stalk and seed heads and ask Bryan what he can explain about this. Bryan states that what disturbs him about this is the dead sead heads which have already let their seeds disperse all around this area. He then points to a Spotted Knapweed rosette and states that it is at least in its second year of growth. You can tell because of the leftover vegetation from last year. He points to this years first basal leaves that are evident.
