Roger Batt asks Bryan Dalollio what the future of this site will look like if nothing is done to manage the Spotted Knapweed. Bryan's concern is that as time goes by and the weed seeds drop, the Spotted Knapweed will close off this natural opening here by the river. Roger states that he sees a lot of native plants and grasses around and wonders what the prediction will be for this area if nothing is done to take care of it. Bryan thinks this area will be 100 % Spotted Knapweed in a short number of years. Roger says that he knows this is something we can't afford to have happen. He points to the scenic river area as a duck flies by and states that considering the scenic and wildlife values, we simply can't afford to have this happen in Idaho. Bryan adds that Spotted Knapweed offers nothing for wildlife as far as food value is concerned.
