At the panorama site, Bryan Dallolio is standing by a patch of Scotch Thistle and notes that this noxious weed represents a serious problem. Number one, they are unpleasant and they are out here in the middle of the bikepath. Number two, they have to be really careful about how these plants are controlled. This is kind of a riparian area. The Boise River is in the background. He explains that this is the kind of place where the county is likely to come in and cut and bag these noxious weeds, and haul them up to the landfill. He also notes that this is not a good place for a herbicide, not that something couldn't be used, but there are only about 100 weeds in this place. It wouldn't be that bad to just cut the plants and haul them and their seeds away.
