Brian Wilbur notes that currently the chemical weed controls are so expensive that the county does a lot of work on Rush Skeletonweed in the Boise foothills with three Biological Agents. Rust attacks the small rosettes, midges that will attack the stems, and a mite will attack the growing points right where the seed heads would be. The mites prevent the seed heads from establishing and greatly reduce the seed production.
