Brian Dallolio points to an area where an irrigation ditch is located and notes that they will have to be very cautious if they decide to apply a herbicide application to the Perennial Pepperweed. He suggests that in order to have a successful treatment here they need to look at products that are not likely to leach through the soil and that do not damage the other vegetation nearby. He also notes that they will have to be careful that they are applying the herbicide product only to the target weed site. Bryan also notes that they will have to look at herbicide products that do not have a grazing restriction because horses and cattle could get to this area to eat the grasses surrounding the Pepperweed. He also notes that animals will typically not eat Pepperweed because it has a terrible taste.
