On April 27, 2005, Bonnie Davis, Washington County Weed Supervisor and Roger Batt, Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign Coordinator visited an area along the Weiser River where a large area of the noxious weed, Leafy Spurge, has been identified. Roger identifies the woody stalk from an old dead plant with new growth underneath. Bonnie notes that the Leafy Spurge has been dense in this area for many years. In the late nineties she mentions that she was treating the weed and when she opened her pickup door the spurge was actually pushed over when the door opened. That is how dense it used to be in this area.
Note that there are several video "hot spots" available which provide a lot more detailed information.
