On April 28, 2005, Rory Clinton, Payette County Weed Supervisor and Roger Batt, Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign Coordinator visited a dry range ground area containing the noxious weed, Diffuse Knapweed. This is south of the city of Payette toward the Canyon County Line. Rory explains that Diffuse Knapweed is an annual, biennial or a short lived perennial plant. He notes that this is the spring of the year and you can see the skeletons of last years plants, and the resulting seed production that took place last year with the rosette stage of the plant coming up now.
Note that there are several video "hot spots" available which provide a lot more detailed information.
