Carl Crabtree, Idaho County Noxious Weed Control Superintendent, and Leonard Lake, US Forest Service look at a small patch of Silverleaf Nightshade. Carl explains that within this canyon there are a number of weeds invading the area and one is Silverleaf Nightshade. To his knowledge it is only found right here in the state of Idaho. It has been here for 30 years, and maybe longer. It doesn't seem to be really well adapted to this climate. It does survive here, but it doesn't seem to want to expand much. It's a perennial plant with a flower much like a tomato or potatoe, it is in that group of plants and looks similar.
Note that there are several video "hot spots" available which provide a lot more detailed information.
